
Oatmeal Recipe
Here is the Oatmeal Recipe for the ones who want it! I got it from a Norwegian site so I have translated to the best of my ability!
Oatmeal Waffles:
13.52 fl oz (US) Oatmeal
10.14 fl oz (US) Buttermilk
10.14 fl oz (US) Milk
2 egg
3 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp sugar
0,5 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp flour (optional)
How To:
Have oatmeal in a bowl mix in buttermilk and milk and leave to stand for about 15-30 minutes.
Then stir in slightly whipped eggs, melted butter and sugar.
Finally, add baking soda and (and flower if you choose to).
Stir well. Let the dough stand and swallow for another 15 minutes (lol…I didn’t see this step
when I made mine, I let my mix stand for 1 hour).
It is important for the waffles consistency that the oatmeal gets stands for the 15 minutes,
so do not skip that step!
The recipe in Norwegian:
4 dl havergryn (Små lettkokte)
3 dl kefir
3 dl melk (gjerne H-melk)
2 egg
3 ss smeltet smør
1 ss sukker
0,5 ts natron
2 ss hevetemel (hvis du ikke vil ha hvetemel kan du bare legge til 2 ss havregryn)
Fremgangsmåte:
Bland de tre første ingrediensene først og la det stå i ca 15-30 min. Så blander du in resten og lar det stå i 15 min ekstra. Det er viktig for konsistens at havregrynene får stå og svelle skikkelig!
